Bekezela Phakathi
Bekezela has worked in the media industry since 2006. During his Bachelor’s degree studies at Rhodes University’s school of journalism and media studies in Grahamstown, he worked as a multimedia producer for Grocott’s Mail, a local publication. He joined Business Day in 2010 and covers Parliament, Western Cape politics and provincial economics. He holds a Master’s degree in journalism and media studies, also from Rhodes University. He is a former winner of the South African Reserve Bank scholarship for economics journalism.
