Adekeye Adebajo

Adekeye Adebajo has been the executive director of the Centre for Conflict Resolution (CCR) in Cape Town since 2003. He served on United Nations missions in South Africa, Western Sahara, and Iraq. He is the author of four books: Building Peace in West Africa; Liberia’s Civil War; The Curse of Berlin: Africa After the Cold War; and UN Peacekeeping in Africa. He is also the coeditor or editor of eight books on managing global conflicts; the United Nations; the European Union; West African security; South Africa and Nigeria’s foreign policies in Africa; and Nobel peace laureates of African descent. He is a visiting professor at the University of Johannesburg. He obtained his doctorate from Oxford University, where he studied as a Rhodes scholar.
