Mariam Isa

Mariam worked at Reuters news agency for 20 years before joining Business Day in May 2007 as economics editor. During that period she held the positions of chief financial correspondent SA, Swedish financial correspondent, chief sub-editor on the Treasury desk in London, and economics correspondent for the UK. Prior to that period she was a political/economics journalist in the Arabian Gulf, working in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Dubai. She resigned from Reuters when her international posting to South Africa ended in order to remain in the country.
