SOUTH Africa is in a serious moral crisis. We are a violent society disintegrating by the day. Ghastly murders are committed daily.
We have become delusional. Forgetting that life is absolutely intrinsic and inviolable. Our country is awash with demonic monsters in human garb, savages fit only for the wild, and satanic beasts ill-equipped for civil society.
Is this the democracy we fought so hard for? One child raped every three minutes, three children murdered each day. We are sliding towards the edge of the abyss and our people are crying out for sanity to prevail.
Our democracy is in peril. The state has failed to protect its citizens, who voted it into power. No one could have done more harm to the cause of democracy than the present government. It has performed spectacular feats of bad governance, corruption and incompetence, proving once again that our elected leaders lack integrity and the ability to effectively govern this once beautiful country.
Our economy was on the cusp of achieving great things over the past few years, only to be hindered by malignant corruption enveloping state and private institutions. Corruption has reached the pinnacle of the ruling class more than ever.
As we approach the next general election and decisions about our future, there are realities some ignore at their peril. Our leaders have failed to make democracy fit to tackle the major and crucial threats facing us.
The entire fabric of our society is coming apart and as our economy crumbles, corruption leads to poverty, social unrest and eventually ignites into anger and total turmoil.
And crime has become a hydra-headed monster, forcing people to live under siege.
