"BICYCLES‚ donkey-carts‚ cars‚ lorries‚ trucks‚ buses‚ trains‚ planes‚ helicopters‚ ships and boats" will be some of the forms of transport the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) will use to spread the message of "economic emancipation in our lifetime".

That is according to the party’s declaration of its second annual plenum‚ which took place in Benoni at the weekend.

"We shall ensure to cover every corner of SA‚ from village to village‚ township to township‚ suburb to suburb‚ kraal to kraal‚ city to city‚ and everywhere where there is human life to speak and preach the message for economic freedom in our lifetime‚" national spokesperson Mbuyiseni Quintin Ndlozi said.

Of immediate concern in the EFF’s programme to attain "working class unity is ... the removal of the ruling party from political office through elections and all other popular means possible".

Mr Ndlozi said SA "has been turned into a kleptocracy‚ with government leaders openly looting state resources‚ pursuing self-enrichment and classifying reports and processes that seek to expose such callous behaviour".

He also took a veiled swing at the Gutpa family‚ whose connections to President Jacob Zuma were raised by EFF leader Julius Malema last week.

"Those close to political leaders will get richer and more corrupt because they will know that‚ like them‚ they are immune from prosecution. We as delegates commit to fight against (the) colonisation of SA by politically connected families who are looting the country’s resources for the benefit of the political elites‚" said Mr Ndlozi.

Saving the country from a "a state of irreversible disaster"‚ would be done in a friendly and thoughtful manner‚ he said.

"The second annual plenum is determined to develop ... amicable and cogent alternatives to rescue SA from the bondage of abject poverty‚ evils of capitalism and maladministration."

Mr Ndlozi also boasted of the party’s readiness for the upcoming local authority elections.

"The state of local government is in total collapse.

"In line with the mission of attainting state power to further the agenda of economic freedom‚ the EFF will contest the local government elections with the view to win them as a step towards total takeover in the 2019 general elections.

"Every municipality‚ every ward and every community shall be contested with credible candidates approved through robust consultations with the people.

"(Immediately) ... all outstanding EFF branches in all wards of SA must be launched‚ and the EFF must exist everywhere; in the farms‚ workplaces‚ campuses‚ villages‚ and all informal settlements."
