For the past seven years, multinational enterprise software company SAP has spent an average of R2m per year supporting South African youth so they can compete in the South African rounds of the First Lego League (FLL) and the World Robotics Olympiad (WRO).

Participants that have benefited from this early exposure to technology number into the thousands already, and plans are afoot to conquer the African continent with the expansion of these educational robotics programmes into countries such as Nigeria, Zimbabwe and Kenya.
